A new survey finds companies doubling down on CSR, DEI, and ESG programs but communicating about them less as Trump-led antagonism rises. One of the thorniest challenges for business leaders since the U.S. presidential election has been balancing their corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies against the roughly 50 percent of voters who backed Donald Trump—and his hostility to those programs—and the other half who didn’t. As a result, new data shows that companies are being more cautious in managing those activities, as both external pressures and contrasting employee and customer support for them intensify.
